This class meets for 3 to 4 hours per week for 11 weeks and includes a full set of design manuals and tools (over $600 value). The course is geared toward commercial HVAC system designers, but all are welcome. Topics include: WEEK 1 - Concepts of Air Conditioning WEEK 2 - Psychometrics & Refrigeration Cycle WEEK 3 - Load Estimating WEEK 4 - Duct Design WEEK 5 - Water Piping & Pumps WEEK 6 - System Selection WEEK 7 - Airside Equipment: RTUs, Air Handlers, Fan Coils WEEK 8 - Chiller Plants WEEK 9 - Direct Digital Controls (DDC) WEEK 10 - Indoor Air Quality, Filtration, Acoustics WEEK 11 - Energy Recovery and Wrap-Up Topics This class qualifies for up to (30) thirty hours of continuing education for Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin Professional Engineers. Students must attend 8 of the 11 sessions to receive a PDH certificate. Breakfast will be included each day before class from 7:30-8:00am.
